Most women look for very similar things when looking for a man. The type of man she wants in regards to interests, career, goals, and past may vary, but there are a lot of qualities that every woman wants in a man.
It also depends on what type of relationship the woman is looking for in her life. Women looking for a partner just for sex will want something completely different out of a man then a woman looking for a potential husband. So depending on what kind of relationship you want and she wants, there are some qualities to let shine through.
GOOD LOOKS: This is usually the first thing most women if not all, look out for in men. Women are only human they are going to be attracted to men who are good looking. The thing to remember, though, that a guy who is good looking to one woman may not be to another. So even if he is not Brad Pitt or Denzel Washington, he can only b attractive in his own unique way.
CONFIDENCE: Women don’t want arrogant men, but they need to know that men are confident about themselves and they have high self-esteem. Having low self-esteem and no confidence in a man’s abilities is a huge turn-off and it’s just way too much for the average woman to handle in a relationship.
SENSE OF HUMOR: Women realize that looks will eventually fade, but a sense of humor does not. If a man can make a woman laugh always, she can be likely putty in his hands. Although sense of humor is something women look for in men, the humor has to be the right kind. No dirty jokes, please!
INTELLIGENCE: A woman wants a man that she can carry on a conversation with. If a man is dumber than a box of rocks, she’s going to get pretty bored and frustrated really quick. He doesn’t have to be a genius but should be able to carry on an intelligent conversation on something besides sports.
RESPECTFULNESS: For a woman to date and actually have a relationship with a man, she needs to be shown respect. This means that the man treats her like an equal. No jokes about women being less intelligent or able to do something. Show her respect and she will show it back to him.
TRUSTWORTHY: If a woman can’t trust a man, then forget about her wanting a relationship with him. Trust is such an important quality in a man and can make or break a relationship. But this shouldn’t be a quality to be looked out for in men only as men also want women that are trustworthy.
HONESTY: Honesty falls in the same kind of category as trustworthiness. Women need to know that their man is being honest to them. They don’t mind the occasional white lies to save them from hurt feelings, such as when you tell them they don’t look like they’ve gained any weight even though they may have gained 10kg. It’s the bigger lies, like who you are going with, talking to, spending money on and so on that they need the truth about.
PERSONALITY: Most women need to see some actual personality from men before they would want to date them. Women know that some men are shy, but if a man is a cold fish or he is so boring that she wants to bite her hand off, the man is not going to last long with them. A man should simply let his personality shine through no matter how off the wall it may be.
PASSION AND DRIVE: All women want men who have passion and drive in their lives both professionally and personally. If a man has no aspirations or dreams, then why would a woman even want to date him? He’s going nowhere in life and he will only left behind in her dust.
KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOUR: This means that if someone else makes a woman mad or picks on a woman, her man should defend her honor. The man doesn’t have to be physical to defend her (unless the situation actually calls for it), but she needs to know that he’s always on her side and keeping her safe. Sometimes, this is as simple as listening to her problems and just telling her he agrees and that she was right.
