"No food for lazy man"

"No food for lazy man" as we all know, has always been an adage to propel one into making good use of every available opportunity that comes his/her way, considering the fact that time waits for no one thereby not being useless, time wasting and just enjoying the comfort of people taking care of things for you while there are other 1001 things to be done to achieve fulfillment in life...
However, we all at a point in time in our lives, consciously or unconsciously live our lives with this adage as one of our motivating quotes.
Taking a brief look at different organizational settings in terms of the work that's been done in relation to the pay. One would say some are really enjoying the pay they earn with little efforts where they work while some, working tediously and tirelessly end up earning a little pay. "I have a friend working in a hotel. Yes! we all know that hotel settings is a customer service organization just like every other customer service coys in the hospitality industry..so every other day that people observe public holidays,my friend is always at work doing his stuff and enduring the little he earns at the end of the day..but one thing that kept him going, not looking at the stress and the pay he earns at the end...is still this same adage "No food for lazy man".
Indeed in this great country Nigeria, considering the economic situation and rate of increase in unemployment even as graduates are being produced every year, thereby increasing the job competition between the fresh graduates, unemployed graduates and even professionals that are still out there in search of that job to keep them going, it's better to appreciate and love the little we are earning now from that job hoping for a better one and yet not relenting in self development targeted at giving us edge over other people out there..
Go to Lagos State and even some other states here in Nigeria, you'll see some buses i mean the danfos and molues even the cabs in some other parts of the country do bare the inscription "No food for lazy man" on them. What is the driver trying to say in essence:
"Though it may be rough,i'm tough and strong
                            Against all odds, i'll survive
Nothing is worth more than this day                                                              I'll do what i have to do
I am only one, but still I am one
                           I cannot do everything,
but still I can do something
and because I cannot do everything,
I will not refuse to do the something that I can do."
If you find that your "get-up-and-go" is lacking, find something to motivate yourself . I believe this is what the drivers or probably the bus owner has just done by putting the inscription on that vehicle. Part of achieving life abundance is to be consistently moving toward your goals. At dictionary.com, the word motivate is defined as "To provide with an incentive; move to action; impel". A psychology textbook may give you a definition of "an internal state or condition that gives direction to behavior".

"Knowing is not enough; We must apply.
Willing is not enough; We must do."
                              - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

So please my dear reader, strive to achieve what you want in life. Leave that comfort zone, take that bold step and launch out into making your dreams and aspiration come to pass. Hope you know it's a risk not taking risk and there's no food for lazy man!
